School E Solutions ("we", "us", "our") provides a school-management platform — a web portal and mobile apps (the School E Solutions staff app and the CiCo parent app, together the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
- Account & school data you or your school provide: name, email, mobile number, school name and address, login credentials.
- Student & school records entered by the school: student names, class, roll number, guardian names and contact numbers, attendance, marks, fees and receipts, homework, timetable, and similar academic records.
- Usage & device information needed to operate and secure the Service, such as log data and app version.
Student records are entered and controlled by the school. We process them on the school's behalf to provide the Service.
2. How we use information
- To provide and operate the Service — manage students, attendance, fees, communication, and report cards.
- To send transactional messages — login OTPs, fee receipts, fee-due reminders, attendance alerts and school notices — by SMS, app notification and email.
- To secure the Service, prevent misuse, and provide support.
3. How information is shared
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:
- with the parents/guardians and staff of the relevant school, as part of normal school operation;
- with service providers who help us run the Service (for example, an SMS gateway to deliver OTPs and alerts, and cloud hosting), bound to protect the data;
- where required by law or to protect rights and safety.
4. SMS & notifications
OTP, fee and notice SMS are sent through a DLT-registered SMS gateway as required by Indian regulations. By providing a mobile number, the school and its parents consent to receive these service messages.
5. Data security & retention
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect data. We retain information for as long as the school account is active or as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations. A school may request deletion of its data by contacting us.
6. Children's information
Student records, which may relate to children, are provided and managed by the school under its own authority and consent obligations. We act as a processor of that data for the school and do not use it for advertising.
7. Your choices & rights
Schools can view, correct, export and delete the records they manage through the Service. To access, correct or delete your personal information, or to raise a privacy concern, contact us using the details below.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
